Benjamin Lamberg was appointed Head of the MTNs & Private Placements Group in June 2009. He held a similar position at Dresdner Kleinwort prior to joining Credit Agricole CIB.
Benjamin has a wealth of experience in the primary market and credit universe. He initially specialised in private placement and structured notes, working on products such as MTNs, CPs, Schuldscheine, US Private Placements, JPY loans, Uridashis, and Stand-alone Private Placements. His extensive network of contacts with global FI and SSA issuers, coupled with his deep understanding of the dynamics of the global credit and structured notes market, are instrumental to Crédit Agricole CIB’s franchise
Benjamin relocated to Hong Kong in mid 2012 where he continued to hold his role with an additional focus of building CACIB’s Asia Credit Franchise. He helped revamp CACIB’s primary franchise in USD and EUR with Asian issuers, spearheaded the development of CACIB’s tier one Renminbi bond franchise, and created new cross-border flows by distributing European credit into Asia and vice versa
In addition to the above, Benjamin acts as chair for the ASIFMA Credit Committee and deputy chair for the China Capital Market Committee which aims to widespread industry best practice across the Asian Capital Market and actively participate to the opening of the Chinese Capital Market to the world
CACIB Asia under his tenure developed a market leading franchise in SRI bond, both with issuers and investors. He extended CACIB global leadership in the products in Asia – both under MTNs and Public format
Benjamin attended the INSEAD Executive Programme in Singapore and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Wales, after graduating from Université de Paris -Pantheon Assas in Maitrise en Economie & Finance
